Learn how to make beautiful vintage sugar flowers

In these 3 classes you will make beautiful, romantic flowers and arrangements, perfect for decorating any cake. Anyone can do it!

You can do any one, two or all three of the classes. Each one covers different methods and flowers and is aimed at both complete beginners as well as those with experience.

All materials and tools will be provided. Just bring a tupperware box for transporting your flowers home.

Saturday 6th June 9.30am – 12.30

You will make giant roses with buds and leaves. These roses look stunning on their own or combined with buds and leaves to make a more relaxed look.

The class will cover:

  • Using cutters & moulds
  • The press method that uses no specialist equipment
  • Graduated colouring for the vintage look
  • Basic wiring

Saturday 20th June 9.30am – 12.30

You will make beautiful anemones in various shades along with delicate blossoms, buds and leaves.

The class will cover:

  • Using cutters & veining by hand
  • Pulled flowers which use no specialist equipment
  • Applying dust colours for delicate tinges
  • Basic wiring

Saturday 4th July 9.30am – 12.30

You will make romantic, ruffled peonies, sprays of tinged hydrangea flowers, buds and leaves.

The class will cover:

Using polystyrene centres to create larger flowers

  • Creating & using templates
  • Specialist cutters & texture moulds
  • Basic wiring
