Description
Saturday 23rd April 9.30am – 3.30pm
Learn how to craft a stunning peony and frothy hydrangea flowers from sugar.
You will go home with the flowers, leaves and buds to decorate your own cake as well as the know-how to keep making.
Intermediate level (or for those who are already a little crafty)
The class will cover
- Building a large sugar flower
- Using cutters and veiners
- Colouring with dry dusts
- Adapting cutters to suit your needs
- Making leaves, wired buds & flowers
In this class you will learn how to use a basic cutter to make alternative flowers rather than buying kits for each new sugar craft flower you make.
We will learn how to use dusts to create your chosen colour scheme and how to draw from nature for your inspiration.
We will be in the lovely new craft room at AG Interiors in Sudbury so you also get to browse and visit the new cafe there too.
At the end of the class, when we have stood back and admired out handiwork, there will be an opportunity to buy key items of equipment should you wish to carry on the craft at home.
All the tools and equipment for the class are provided and you will go home with a selection of sugar flowers to use on your own cakes.
Dawn –
I just wanted to drop you a short email to say thank you for a wonderful day on Friday. Not only was the instruction superb, but the whole experience was truly therapeutic – from the calm classical music in the background, to the short breaks for tea and a chat.
Once again, a big thank you! Please bear me in mind for future courses, as I really did enjoy myself!
